RE: Hummingbird Food

DW does one sugar to three waters and they do a royal battle over it. You'll get dive bombed by them while putting it up. We have about eight here and the females (as usual) are more vicious then the red throated males. They eat (drink) a little more than a quart per week.

RE: What T.V. do you use?

My 2005 2500 QC 5.9 CTD auto 4X4 wouldn't get 24 mpg down a mine shaft with a tail wind. Actual, hand calculated @75 mph empty/cruise is maybe 19. Towing our 9500 lb TT is from 11.5-12 ish or so at 62 mph. Trying 55mph tomorrow going to Florida. You can pass me if you'd like, I'll help you. When I'm in front you have to go around me. Where I'm going was there when I left and will still be there when I get there. LMHO

RE: GM Truck Sale at Employee Pricing is coming

Still too rich for my blood. All the dealers around here stick by their high prices. I was checking out the Fords the other day and for a F250 Super Duty crew cab that windowed for $44K, they wanted $26500 and my 2005 Dodge and had the nerve to say that I was getting "over" the book trade. Righhhhhtttttttt. No discout whatsoever that I could see. Was told that used trucks weren't selling very well and I said I could see that as not too many people were in line ahead of me to buy one. There inventory has been sitting there for about the last four months or so.

RE: CarMax Warranty on 2005 RAM 3500 CTD

You are still eligible for the MOPAR extended warranty, but my 2005 2500 has had nothing but normal servicing except for one tag lite bulb, Power train is good for 7 years 70,000 miles, engine for 7 years and 100,000 miles. I have 68,500 and no issues except for tire replacement. Goodrich Rough Terrain lasted about 20,00 and my Coopers about 45,000. I put my Maxxis Winter tires, Big Horn Radials back on until I decide what's next.

RE: Truck won't start!! SOS

Try unhooking the RV and just use both the truck batteries. Those diesels need a lot of juice to crank. Other than that, no clue. Perhaps a "fusible link"?

RE: Equipping our new TT

Wal Mart has supplies. Single ply t.paper, small torpedo level to level it, Good sewer hose, water pressure regulator, Wheel chocks, white water hose,Calgon water softner for holding tanks, shelf liner (rubber) extra batteries for AC control rug for front entry and usual kitchen equipment, We use Corian dishes as they're lite and sturdy, coffee pot/filters, bath items/toilet items etc. We also use coated stainless steel pots/pans a few small baskets to keep things under the counter and whatever else you need for personal comfort. Too much, use you engenuity. Have a great time TT camping.

RE: Tire Failure, Filing NHTSA Report, How Many Do This?

Maxxis are made in Taiwan, not China proper. Lost my Marathon at 1250 miles, sold the remaining four and replaced all with Maxxis M8008 ST 225 75R 15Es. Peace of mind PRICELESS

RE: RV industry needs to be redifined

I, for one, knew exactly what to look for in my last TT and I got an excellent one. All the amenities we wanted and quality build. Had to replace the water diverter on the bottom of our shower door and retighten a water fitting. Maybe I've been extremely lucky. Did replace the Goodyear Marathon "May-Pops" with quality Maxxis tires tho.

RE: Hole in Battery

I think that I'd try some epoxy after cleaning/drying the area around the hole. Afterwards, I'd refill with 1/2 water and 1/2 acid and let it sit for 24 hours to stabilize and then put a charger on it. Worth a try any how and the epoxy is fairly cheap.

RE: Slide-Out Jacks/Stands - Yea or Nay?

NO, NEVER! My owners manual even states that the stabilizers (travel) are even optional. Mine are kept under our bed and only used to hold up the bed while packing under it.

RE: Other than stock tires?

Where I live, the Wally World won't even put a still good USED tire on my 6X12 trailer used for just hauling "stuff" nor do a Spring "change over" from Winter tires. Was told company policy, NO USED TIRES at all!! Went elseware needless to say.

It's for the "Framis" that connects to the "whatsis" that controls the "Whysis"
Kidding, actually, no clue.

RE: What programer would you get???

My 2005 Dodge Cummins Turbo Diesel has all the power I really need, 325 HP and 610 Ft Lbs torque. Works at my house. Save your $$$ and get a Cummins.JMHO It'll also smoke the tires quite easily.

RE: can u add a holding tank to a tt?

Must be a "Park Model". Just measure around underneath and you can prpbably mount some, but major PITA. Tanks are costly also plus the plumbing, straps etc.
